The GRC partnered with AmeriCorps VISTA, through the United Way of Weld County, to receive several full time volunteers from 2011-2013. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) is a nationally funded, competitive service program in which full time VISTAs serve non-profit agencies in the realm of capacity building. The GRC's VISTAs served in the areas of resource development and grant writing, volunteer recruitment and management, program development, evaluation and intake management, and other projects.
Anna Taquet worked with the GRC as the Community Outreach VISTA in 2013.  Anna worked to strengthen the volunteer program at the GRC and fostered relationships with the Greeley and Colorado community at large.  Prior to joining the GRC, Anna worked for a refugee resettlement agency in Chicago and for The Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  Anna graduated in 2011 from McGill University with a degree in International Relations and Sociology. 
Rebekah Swanson worked with the GRC's as the Resource Development VISTA in 2013.  Bekah worked on grant writing, fundraising, and event planning. Originally from the Midwest area, Bekah graduated in 2010 from Luther College in Decorah, IA with a degree in religion. She spent 2012 volunteering in the United Kingdom at BMS World Mission. She likes playing ultimate Frisbee, cooking, baking and doing anything outdoors.
Alexandra Walker was the GRC’s VISTA from November 2011 until November 2012 and worked in the areas of volunteer development, outreach, fundraising/grant writing, and database development. Alexandra became the Program Coordinator for the GRC's Ethnic Based Communities Self-Help grant after her VISTA term ended.  Prior to joining the GRC team, Alexandra taught English to refugee youth in South Africa and interned with the International Institute in Akron, OH.  She graduated from DePauw University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology in 2011.
